ADA Healthcare Kiosks

ADA compliance is of utmost importance as it is not simply a nice option to have, it’s the law. If your kiosk is out of compliance with the ADA standards, you could be fined.  For more information we recommend visiting the Kiosk Manufacturer Association site where they discuss ADA and accessibility as an industry standard.

The KMA maintains an up-to-date FAQ on common ADA compliance questions. The KMA also offers a ADA Packet which lays out the various requirements that the law currently maintains. It is available by request.  The KMA presented the Mandated Current requirements document to the U.S. Access Board in September 2019. Included was  a Proposed Code of Practice which includes proposed regulations for voice command and voice recognition. ADA healthcare kiosk considerations generally fall into the physical access side of things as well as audio.
